May Favourites ♡

Honestly, I don't know how it can be June already! My dad was saying that and I actually thought it was about to be May, not that it had finished. So yes, you guessed it, today I have my May favourites.
May has gone quicker than any other month. To be honest, it hasn't been that great and I haven't had that many favourites, but I thought I would do this anyway. I know it's the third of June already but oh well.

Clarins Lipstick
So my first favourite I have mentioned this in a few posts recently, but I got this for Christmas and it is the cutest mini lipstick. The packaging is on point and the lipstick is the prettiest darkish rose colour. I love how this is such a great build able pigmentation, you can apply a light amount and get a gorgeous dark pink berry-esque colour, but not so dark so its still great for summer, but you can build it to a lot darker berry wintery colour too. This is so gorgeous, I can't get over it, I've been wearing it almost every day!

Seventeen Metallic Cream eye shadow
There's nothing that makes me more happy than easy but stunning looking eye products, and this is one of them. This is an old favourite that I have picked out of my collection at the beginning of the month and it is a very nice pinky champagne colour. It applies very pigmented and does not crease. I love this a lot.

Rimmel BB Cream
I said in an Instagram picture that I had mixed opinions on this, but this month it has definitely grown on me and, although it sometimes gets a bit cakey, I think it is amazing for light coverage everyday wear and its the perfect shade too!

MUA Lipstick
Another lip product and my last makeup favourite, is the MUA Lipstick in Shade 13. I mentioned the pink one I have of these last month, but this month I have been busy in a show, and being a showgirl, I had to wear red lipstick, so this proved incredible! It was only £1 yet it stayed on for two hour shows even when I was eating and drinking backstage, singing, dancing and being under lights.

Yankee Candle Christmas treats
Recently I went to a caravan with my best friend (read my update post to hear more about that) and every night we were watching movies and one thing we loved doing was lighting this candle. Its only a votive but it lasts an amazing amount of time and the smell is so beautiful, a sweet smell that smells literally like cooking Christmas food (I know its now summer but I don't really care, its too good!)

Batiste Dry Shampoo Floral and Flirty
Remember right at the beginning of my blog? I was obsessed with this and I even did a review on it (I will try and find it and if I can link it here) but I threw it to the back of my cupboard and have only recently started using it again. It just adds a lot of volume and cleanness to your hair, so it's perfect for the days when you aren't washing your hair but want it to feel a bit cleaner and less greasy.

Random favourites...

Kinder Chocolate
Kinder, kinder, kinder. It's just the nicest chocolate there is! I can't explain my love for it, but definitely go and try it if you can. It's very sweet and rich but it is delicious.

Magic Stars Hot Chocolate
I don't actually have one of these to photograph, but again when we were at the caravan we drank this every night and it tasted amazing. It was so silky and sweet and just delicious. And it comes with mini magic stars in it so I completely recommend you try it.

Pitch Perfect 2
I may have been to see this on the second to last day of May, but I'm still including it, because it was amazing! It was hilarious and honestly, I didn't think the music was as good as in the first one, but it was a lot funnier and I just really enjoyed it, so I definitely recommend you see it if you haven't already.

Flashlight
Following onto that, my music favourite was one of the main songs from Pitch Perfect and that was Flashlight. It's so catchy and it's beautifully sung by Jessie J. The lyrics are so relatable as well.

So that's all for my May favourites, it was quite long but I hope you all enjoyed it. Comment what you have been loving this month and make sure to follow my on bloglovin if your not already.

Natural Makeup for School ♡

Every school has different regulations on how much make up to wear, and every girl ddecides how much she will stretch those rules. At my school, most teachers are pretty okay with you wearing makeup once you are past year 7 (I'm year 8 so I am finally free) and they don't mind as long as you make it natural. Some of the girls in my year wear so much makeup it's unreal, but I just like to wear a little bit, so today I thought I would do a post talking about the makeup I wear to school. Let's get started!
♡♡♡♡♡

Starting with my face, it really depends how my skin is on that particular day. If there's only a tiny bit of redness or a couple of blemishes, I probably won't put any on, but if I'm not having a good skin day, I will probably apply a tiny bit of concealer or BB cream where I need it.

The one step I never miss out though is moisturiser (obviously before the bb cream aha) as my skin can get very dry so I like to always moisturise in the mornings.

That's literally all I do for my base makeup, as I said it is a very natural look and just a tiny bit of make up to make me feel more confident and I just like wearing it.

Eyes-wise, I use my holy grail Collection liner and do a thin line on my lash line to define my eyes a bit more then put a couple of coats of my Natural Collection mascara on my top and bottom lashes.

Lastly, for my llips, I like to apply my Nivea Fruity Shine Peach lip balm as this moisturises my lips but also gives them a bit of shine.

That's it for my makeup for school. Its really not that much.

Do you wear makeup for school and if so what?

Life Update & Where Have I Been? ♡

Hellooo everyoneee,

How have you all been?

This post is just to casually talk a bit about what I have been up to recently and update you of my life a little bit.

Soooo, last week I had no free time literally at all haha, because on the first few nights I had rehearsals, and then, as you probably have worked out, on the Thursday to Saturday nights, I had shows. We did Bugsy Malone in a local hall and the seats were packed out every single night - it was incredible! I was one of the Tallulah girls and I also had a load of other stuff to do, and I had so so so much fun! I just love acting and performing, because it gives me such a thrill and I just want to do it forever!

Always, so I did that, and then on Sunday I went on a mini holiday with my best friend.

We just went to a place near Hastings and stayed in her grandmas caravan so close to the beach and we swum in it every day, it was pretty warm too and we made cakes and ate pizza and watched so so many movies.

ALSO WE TRIED MAGIC STARS HOT CHOCOLATE AND IT IS SO GOOD I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOU TRY IT ITS AMAZING!

Just to list a few, we watched Miss Congeniality, The Heat, The Worlds End, Hot Fuzz, Dirty Dancing and jeez so many more!

We didn't have WiFi and I hadn't had any time to write and schedule posts before hand, so I decided just to chill and skip posting for last week and yesterday's post.

Also, today I have just been out all day, seeing my best friend and my friend who moved to the other side of the world (who I am probably going shopping with tomorrow so expect a haul woo:)) and then went to work in the afternoon, now I am just having a chilled evening listening to Matilda the Musical.

I have had such a fun time, and its half term so I can now write a ton of posts.

Hope you have had an amazing week, love everyone who reads my blog so much and thank you all for everything.

Drugstore Starter Kit♡

There is so much makeup in the world. And if you are just starting out you might feel swamped by all the different brands and products, so today I thought I would do a drugstore starter kit kind of post, but not as in-depth as some peoples, just talking about the 5 products you should start off with and which one I would recommend.

1) Concealer:
This is definitely a must-have for me, although I tend to not use it every single day. Concealer is just perfect for covering your under eyes, blemishes, redness, or just anything else that needs to be covered. I would by far recommend the Collection one, as it gives so much coverage and is amazing at covering anything and everything, but still looks natur and doesn't look cakey.

2) BB Cream
I like to use BB cream instead of foundation, as I feel like it doesn't give as harsh of a look and is just nice for smoothing out your skin and perfecting any imperfections but it still looks like skin. But don't feel you need to buy it unless you actually want coverage, because I'm sure you are all beautiful naturally without makeup.

3) Blush
So, once you've got that face makeup on, you will probably look a bit washed out and like a ghost, so to add some more colour to your face, you will probably want to apply some blusher. The MUA ones are amazing, just don't go to overboard or you'll look a bit crazy.

4) Mascara
Mascara brings every look together and a makeup look without mascara is like a tree without it's branches. I definitely recommend you don't miss it. It can lengthen, volumise, separate and thicken your lashes and it also makes your eyes look and lot more open and less droopy.

5) Lip Balm
You could go straight in with lipstick or lip gloss, but I recommend starting out with a tinted lip balm instead, as they will really moistuise your lips and also give a bit of a sheen of colour. Personally, I would opt for Baby Lips or Nivea Fruity Shine as they are very inexpensive and still keep your lips hydrated.

Thanks for reading, I decided to keep this post quite short and snappy, but let me know if you try out any of these things and if they are any good to you.

Products mentioned:
1) Concealer - Collection Lasting Perfection £4.19
2) BB Cream - Rimmel 9 in 1 Radiance BB Cream £6.99
3) Blusher - MUA Makeup Academy Blush £1
4) Mascara - New Look Pure Definition Mascara £4.99
5) Lip Balm - Maybelline Baby Lips £2.99 or Nivea Fruity Shine £1.99

PS Sorry for the late post, I have been super busy with rehearsals and only just got home.

Q&A #2 ♡

Q&A

Yes Megan I do. This is a collab with Megan who is my bestest internet friend. I've never met her but we started talking about PLL and using the 😂 emoji way too much, now we are do close and she is amazing, she is doing a q&a too so check out hers.

Omg that's impossible to answer! I love chocolate a lot so at first I thought chocolate but now I think about it I am a crisp person and I love quavers and wotsits. HOW CAN I PICK?? Probably keep chocolate because I can still have popcorn and chips and I could just get really crispy chips with no actual potato in haha.

I would wish for everyone in the world to have food and fresh water, and that I could meet my internet friends, then more wishes.

Hmm, this is one from the Pointless Book isn't it? I thought about this for ages, and decided that I would rather be sexually attracted to fruit and then get a really really good therapist to sort it out, because cheetos would mean I couldn't do my makeup properly or text or anything.

Fruit. How could I live without pineapple or strawberries or kiwi? I hardly like any vegetables anyway so it would hardly make a difference.

I usually say my collection liner but at the moment I've really been liking my Maybelline Colour Tattoo as its so easy to apply but it looks so good and stays all day.

Zoe Sugg. Zoella. She has been my inspiration from day 1 and collabing with her would be amazing!

Maybelline. Ive been asked this so many times but Maybelline is currently one of my favourite brands and the Rimmel eyeliners, face and lip products are really good, but they don't have that great eyeshadows or most mascaras, whereas Maybelline is better all round.

Um, people say they would love to live forever but I would find it so difficult watching everyone I care about dying, and being left with nobody. Also, you would be so old and probably in a lot of pain if you couldn't die. But then also I don't know if I would want to die young because you wouldn't get ro experience most of your life.

Kiss a BMW. haha bit of a weird question but its better than falling off a cliff, that would hurt a lot, that is if you weren't dead.

My Clarins lipstick and lip Perfectors, my Maybelline lash sensational mascara and my Sleek Storm palette.

I'm not a big reader to be honest, I'm more of a watcher of shows and films. But my favourite books are my youtube books and my favourite is Love Tanya. I also love love love The Fault In Our Stars - I think it's so well written and I know it's very hyped up, but it is worth it and I definitely recommend reading it.

How can I pick? Joe though is probably my number one, because he is my favourite person and his videos are always so original and make me hysterical, I love him so so so much. I am also obsessed with Zoe and Caspar and Jim and Alfie and Tanya. And so many more I could list them for hours.

Zoella. Zoe. She has been my inspiration from day one, and I was thinking that I was getting into makeup, although I didn't really get properly into it until last year, but I had my friend round, and desperately wanted to make one, so I made her make one as well, she doesn't really use it though but it gave me a big confidence boost knowing that she had one as well. So yeah, Zoe basically.

That's all the questions I'm going to answer today, I will have another one of these up maybe next month or the one after. Make sure to check out Megan's as she has done this as well and yeah, I'm being awkward so I'm gonna go now...

Ellie xoxo

Best of Collection ♡

To me the brand Collection, previously known as Collection 2000, is a bit on and off, they have a few really rubbish products, but they also have some really special, amazing products. So today I am going to be focusing on this brand as I think they do have some incredible products and they are pretty cheap too. I'm going to talk about 3 products that I am in love with.

This is a collab with the AMAZING Alana, I love her blog and her youtube. She is such an inspiration to me so I'm super happy to be collating with her! Her blog is incredible so make sure you go check it out and read her version of this.

Also can I just say that every collection product I have tried smells absolutely incredible!

Collection Cream Puff Lip Cream - £2.99
Lip gloss. That applies with amazing pigmentation. And isn't sticky. And dries matte. How does that not impress you? Then I add on the fact that they are only £2.99. Want one yet? I love these lip products so much I literally can't find a fault in them! One thing is that the shade range isn't the best, there are three shades, a browny nude, a pinky your lips but better and a bright pinky coral (the one I own). I love the packaging of these and how tiny they are means they are great to throw in your handbag. There isn't much to say about these, they are basically OUT OF THIS WORLD liquid lipsticks that dry matte.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - £4.19
This is a cult product that basically all beauty youtubers and bloggers talk about. It is probably the most high coverage concealer at the drugstore. This covers everything and anything that needs to be covered. It's in basically all my posts haha. All I would say is when you buy it make sure that when you swatch it on your hand it is too light because when I bought mine it was the 'perfect' shade for my hand but I didn't realise your face is usually lighter than your hand so it was way too orange for me. But yeah, this is so so so so good and you need it in your life if you are a makeupaholic like me.

Collection Extreme Felt Tip Liner - £2.99
This is probably one of my all time favourite makeup products. It is THE best felt tip liner. It applies well, you can smudge it out to create a smoky look, it stays put and is so black and I don't even know what else to say. I've had it for months and it still isn't dried out. It is perfect for cat flicks and just everyday eyeliner. You really can't go wrong with this. If I could only pick one if these product it would probably be this.

I love all these products so much and definitely recommend them as they are so affordable bit still such great quality! Remember to go and check out Alana's post - she did a high end brand so you can get the best of both worlds *not a Hannah Montana quote haha oops;) *

What is your favourite Collection product?

April Favourites ♡

Don't tell me April has passed already! This month has been a bit of both, some great moments but also some times when life hasn't been so great. But, like usual, it's time for me to talk about my favourites from this month.

This is a collab with Lauren, her blog is here and instagram here, and you should definitely check out her blog because it's amazing and we have actually become quite good friends too! We decided to do this post a bit different so I am going to be including two of her favourites with her pictures and why she loves them so you can have a bit of preview of her post and also get to know her style too. So if you want an extra two of my beauty favourites go check out her post. I hope you guys enjoy this new way of collabing but let's just get started.

Lauren's favourite - Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette: Golden Sugar
I love this palette, because although it's stated as a blush palette, it has a range of colours varying from shimmery whites to matte browns meaning there're colours suitable for highlighting, blush & contouring! The colours have good pigmentation & it was a bargin at only £6 in Superdrug!

Lauren's favourite - Maybelline ColourSensational Lipgloss: 130 Fuchsia
I own more than one of these lipglosses and they are definitely my favourite lipglosses as they give a really nice colour, come in endless shades and they aren't sticky which I find with so many glosses! These are usually £6 in any shops that sell Maybelline, but I found it on sale for £3!

My next favourite is my MUA lipstick in Tulip as I bought this at the beginning of April and it is a perfect pink 'your lips but better' colour which is great for everyday and the spring. This applies so well and is so pigmented and creamy (I don't think that's the right way to put it but it just goes onto your lips well) and it smells INCREDIBLE!  The colour isn't too bright but it is a natural pink with a hint of nude but mainly just a natural pink and it isn't too light either. Overall, this is such a great everyday spring lip colour and I have been loving it a lot.

Collection Cream Puff Lip Cream: Fairy Cake
I've been talking about this in my recent posts, but its just an obsession of mine. I love bold lips, and this one is great because its a lip cream instead of lipstick and it dries matte. I am completely in love with it. I definitely recommend you try one.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour: On and On Bronze
This Maybelline colour tattoo has been my favourite. It's so easily to apply and is the most gorgeous colour. I can't even describe how much I love this. It stays on for such a long time and it's just the perfect cream eyeshadow.

Boots Witch Hazel Gel
In April, my skin hasn't been too great. But this miracle item has almost completely cleared my skin up. Its just the Boots own brand one and my mum gave this to me when I first started breaking out and now I apply it on my spots before I put my makeup on and before I go to bed. Then, my skin gets cleared up in just a few days. I definitely recommend you pick this up.

Music:
So my music favourite has been a band I have rediscovered as I was obsessed with them last summer and for some reason, I stopped listening to them but they are back in my life and I am so happy about it. FIVE SECONDS OF SUMMER THEY ARE MY JAM! My favourite song is Amnesia and yesterday I remembered the song Good Girls which I love too. But all their songs are so good.

Also I have been loving Gabby (velvetgh0st) and Hobbie's cover of Love Me Like You Do. It's so good I can't describe!

Youtube:
Of course I have been loving all the youtubers like Zoe, Joe and Alfie but I like to include smaller Youtubers people probably haven't heard of so...NOO her youtube is PrincessEmeraldNoo and she is just so bubbly and does a mix of beauty and life and funny videos so go check her out.

Food:
Waffles. Waffles waffles waffles.

People:
Well obviously Lauren as she is so nice and I'm so glad we decided to collab. And also my internet best friend Megan. I could do a whole blog post about our friendship, but we started talking at the end of March and she is just the best cactus and I love her lots. Her blog is:
Meganwbu.blogspot.com

What have you been loving this month?
